There are many people who go to Facebook almost everyday and sometimes every hour. For this reason many people have purchased smartphones that are capable of visiting the Facebook site. However, smartphones were not in a position to show the Facebook website as a computer would be able to. A smartphone usually has a slower processor, less RAM, and a much smaller viewing screen. For that there have been mobile versions of Facebook that a user could access from their phone such as Facebook Mobile and Facebook for Blackberry.

Facebook Mobile is a generic website that allows you to view the actual Facebook website in a format that is friendly to your internet connection and the smaller screen size. It allows you to do almost everything except for play some of the Flash games. However, there are some advanced extensions that you can use to be able to view Javascript, Shockwave, and Flash content with some Windows Mobile smartphones. You will have to have a fast processor or be able to over clock your processor to be able to watch them correctly. Another problem that you may have is that you will not be able to use Facebook Chat when you are using Facebook Mobile.

Facebook for Blackberry is a program that actually just downloads updates from the actual site. It shows you status updates, pictures, and other updates in a way that makes it easier to browse. The only problem with Facebook for Blackberry is that some features of Facebook are simply not supported. However, there is always a link on the program that allows you to switch to Facebook Mobile at anytime.

On the good side, it makes it really easy to upload pictures and videos to your Facebook account when you are using Facebook for Blackberry. It can be a challenge when you are trying to add photos using the Facebook Mobile site when you are using certain smartphones. Also it is possible to use Facebook Chat with your Blackberry using some third-party applications which may also work on Windows Mobile phones. Both Facebook Mobile and Facebook for Blackberry are quick loading when used on a 3G network.
